Each year, hundreds of schools nationwide participate in the CLT assessments, which serve as a benchmark for academic achievement. Our HTCS 8th graders participated in this exam, alongside most other 8th grades in the Diocese of Fort Worth Catholic Schools and many other classical schools in the area. In total, over 250 schools took the CLT8 exam in the 2022-2023 school year.
Not only is Holy Trinity the only school in our diocese and the entire Dallas - Fort Worth area to make the rankings list, we ranked 10th nationally! This achievement reflects the hard work, dedication, and exceptional abilities of our students, as well as the unwavering support from our dedicated faculty and staff.
The CLT8 is a diagnostic and summative assessment offered by Classic Learning Test and designed for 7th and 8th graders. Evaluating reading, grammar, and mathematical skills, the CLT8 engages students with thoughtful content drawn from classic literature and historical texts and provides a comprehensive measure of achievement and aptitude.
We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the entire Holy Trinity community – students, parents, teachers, and administrators – for contributing to this remarkable success. It is through the collaborative efforts of each individual that we continue to uphold our commitment to providing a high-quality classical education while putting formation of character and virtue in the forefront.
